We are all sinners and all of us are bound to hell. We are tempted by Satan to do wrong if we also allow him to take over us. If we jut let him take over our life, we can say that we are not worthy to be called God's children for we have let Satan take over us. All the nice things like cellular phone, iPod and many others tempt us to commit a sin. With cellular phone, we tend not to study, instead, we always hold it and send text messages. Our parents have invested a lot in us but we seem to ignore their hardship in sending us to school. We usually disobey them when they want us to something. With iPod, we don't listen to others. We tend to place the volume high so that we can't hear them because we are quite certain that we will just be asked to do this and that. There are a lot of temptations that we may face like going with the wrong set of friends, going to the mall frequently and skipping classes, stealing, cheating and even hurting others by using hurtful words.
As a sinner, I also sin but I know that we can resist temptation with God's grace. I f we just resist that temptation of Satan, he will surely run away from us. I was once tempted by the nice things in this world that I am now. I was tempted with the television and internet. I affected my studies. My grades decreased which caused the disappointment of my parents.
When I get angry, I usually get tempted to throw fragile things or I don't tend to talk for quite a long period of time. I knew I was doing the wrong thing. I feel bad when God doesn't seem to answer my prayers. Satan pulls me away from God and brings me to sin. In Mark 14:38, it says "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak." I just explains that everywhere we go, temptation will always be present. In I Corinthians 10:13, it says "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able: but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." It says that when we are tempted, God will make ways for us to be away from the temptation of Satan. So we should watch and pray so we will be wise enough to resist the temptation.
We ought to resist temptation that we may be worthy of God's plan for us. That we may not be ashamed to claim that we are His children. All of us may fall into temptation but all the bad persuasions of Satan we can resist if we want to. Beware of the consequences that you may be facing.
